Wrist Pin Clips
I removed one clip from each piston. The other clip is still in the piston. Do I need to take these out and change them? I do intend to NOT reuse the six I removed.

I wouldn't bother removing the second set unless you're sending the pistons out for any kind of work. (I took all of mine out because I had the pistons ceramic-coated.) One thing that you might want to know, by the way, is that the perfectionists replace these clips with the openings at either six or 12 o'clock, God knows why. I had enough trouble getting mine back in without having them whang off into the deepest recesses of the workshop that I was happy just to get them back in.

Stephan, I am familiar with the wrist pin whang phenomenon!
John, if I drive really really slow, then do I really need the cooler? Just kidding.....I can't drive really really slow. I'll be back to see you. I'm going to be in Seattle next Friday anyway. John, as a warning, when I post a more complete story of my rebuild experiences, I'm gonna say some nice things about you. Hope you're not bashful.
