CIS throttle closed switch
81-83 SC's have this switch on the throttle body.
What does it have the frequency valve do when the throttle is closed? Does it still work when O2 is disconnected running fixed duty cycle? Thank you ![]() ![]()

Vinny,
That is not the closed throttle switch, that is the 15 degree enrichment switch for the cold enrichment control unit on the later lambda SC . It has nothing to do with the O2 sensor and if it is working properly, it adds 2 seconds of enrichment on acceleration when cold to cure the stumble that occured when they backed off the early model default setting to meet to emission test. The closed throttle switch (and the WOT 35 degree switch) are inside the black box connected to the throttle shaft.
