Putting trim back in rubber window seal
I'm replacing the rear side window seals on my SC coupe. Any "tricks" or helpful hints about putting the aluminum trim back in the rear quarter windows rubber seals? I assume that the rubber mounts to the glass and then the trim is pressed into the rubber. I was thinking of using a small hook of some sort to pull the rubber open to make it easier to seat the trim. Also intend to use some rubber lubricant. Anything else?
Thanks in advance,

I put the rubber on the glass then worked the trim in place since you can still form the seal at this point then installed the window. I don't think you can get it in after everything is in place or at least it aint easy!
I know thats not what you wanted to hear.....but you already said it...

Quarter window trim....
The windows are still out of the car and I already "knew" that the seal, glass and trim has to go in at one time. My question referred to ways to make it easier to get the trim back into the rubber seal. Thanks for the interest.

I think the single most important issue here is lubricant, which you already mentioned.. Use plenty of it!! I wouldn't use a hook: damaged seal, trim, puntured fingers etc.. Another thing, I've always used new rubber seals.. As far as lube goes, I use Dawn straight out of the bottle, messy, yes, but works for me.. Use plenty of water to clean up as it is messy and it will remove wax.. I hope this helps..
