Clutch pedal on floor after cluster rebuild

Hi fellow pelicaners,
I have been working diligently on car. As everything I do is the first time I have seen it and done it i continually run into road blocks along the way. I read the Bentley manual, 101 projects and this forum for my information. So here's where I am at.
I did a pedal cluster rebuild with all new bushings and a new springs. Also ran a new clutch cable and put in a new helper spring. I am not sure what I have done wrong but I gapped the bolt to the arm at 1mm but the pedal is still on the floor. Any tricks or insight or point out any mistakes I have made along the way are welcome.
Thanks, Gary
Below are images of my set up in its current state .

Pull the clutch pedal all the way up and wedge something behind it to hold it up. Then go and set the 1.2mm gap with the cable off. Rehook cable and set to 1mm.
Can you resize those pictures....can't see what's going on there.

those pictures are so small they are almost useless but it looks like you may need to pull the omega spring into the correct position, it should be almost touching the heat exchanger.

Will do. Sorry about the pictures. The next size up was over 2 mbs. Will try again with larger photos. Didn't realize pedal had to be in the up position when calibrating. That sounds like that is the first. And obvious part of my problem. Will do that and report back.. Thanks Gary

I tie the clutch pedal up to the steering wheel when doing the adjustment.

The springs on the pedal cluster are " helper" springs that help ease your effort when pushing the clutch in for release.

Good luck with the re-adjust.

Omega spring needs to be "snapped" back against the heat exchanger before you adjust anything. Un hook the cable and pry the release arm toward the rear of the car. Don't get your fingers in the way.
Top arrow should be down against the heat exchanger (bottom arrow).

Your spring is on correctly just pry the arm rearward. it will take some force to get it to snap into the correct position.
Look at both pictures ( yours and the one jar0023 posted).

Thanks again Pete. Yea it's just not computing in my mind by moving the big arm back that spring can actually change position so much. With that said, I am definitely keeping my fingers out of the way. Thanks again

Holy moly it worked. Adjusted everything proper I believe. Took it for a quick little test drive up the street since its registered non op. still killed it a few times but that is user error. Thanks for all the feedback and help. As always invaluable!
Thanks,
Gary
