Question What Are YOUR Pelican Habit's???

Just wondering how much time everyone spends on this site and bbs.. Personally i get up, check the bbs and read everything new. Leave it on all day and check whenever i come into the office. Total a day with the bbs and viewing pics, reading things ect. I would have to say im on this site at least1-2 hours a day ave..

Love the site keep up the good work WAYNE!!!

So how much do all of you spend on here?

Addicted? I am!!!

Probably too much time...but retired old farts can get away with things that young pups can't.

Thumbs up

I like to lurk in the 911, 914 and 944 forums, as well as the OT section. I'm on from the moment I get to work until the moment I leave...west coast time. Not full time or anything, just periodic checking. Also sometimes on the weekends...when the wife removes the shackles or if I need advice while working on the car.

Great site, great BBS.

About three times a day at work Probably about 10-15 minutes per visit, unless writting a long reply to a thread.

I only go to the 911 BBS.

I was off last week, away from the internet, and I had the DTs pretty bad a few days

You guys kick ass!

This thing really is a version of E-crack. I'm at work right now, and I'm on. I can't shake the habbit. The good side, is I consider this board educational, and I learn a lot from it.

Well, I am my own boss and I'm considering firing my lazy self for sitting in front of this freakin computer for hours at a time when I should be working to pay for all the mistakes I make working on my freakin car. And where will you guys be when my wife divorces me for electronic abandonment- probably staring at a computer sceen listening to your wife saying "I swear you spend more time with those guys you don't even know than with your own wife-blah blah blah...."

There, I fell better now. Thanks.

I was laid off from a technology company a few weeks ago, so I have been spending a ridiculous amount of time perusing posts. Stuff I'm not even that interested in gets read thoroughly. I'd say average time spent/day is 2-3 hours.

Here is a conversation I had with my wife last night:

Her: "What did you do today? Find any work?"

Me (out of mouth): "I spent a lot of time online, yes. It's the best way to look for new opportunties."

Me (thinking to myself): "If only you new how much of that online time was related to my p-car. I actually did visit the Porsche site to see if they are hiring Internet strategy consultants, so I'm not totally lying."

Her: "OK, so what opportunities did you manage to see?"

Me (out of mouth): "Well, Microsoft is advertising a few applicable jobs. And I've been looking at several major auto manufacturer sites, because they all need so much help when it comes to their online execution."

Me (thinking to myself): "I had to visit www.microsoft.com because my operating system was crashing--and rudely interrupting my reading of posts on Pelican Parts. I just had to fix the problem. And yes, while I was on Bill's site, I took a look at the jobs area. Sheesh."

Her: "I noticed that your 911 is very clean today. Did you wash it? When did you have time?"

Me (out of mouth): "I skipped lunch just to give it a quick spray. There was some bird crap on the rear spoiler rubber."

Me (thinking to myself): "Actually, there was a lull in posts on Pelican. So I did a complete wash, wax, vacuum, and all around detail. Took several hours. Not sure if it was bird crap or a little extra wax from last week's detail."

If she only knew.

Hello

Sorry to say but I must have a helper syndrome.

As you know the scouts say every day a god thing. I think I have to do something for my old days.

Roland, indeed, most every day you do a god thing. But some days, I must say, your post are only good things.
