HELP!!!!installed cylinders and piston assembly on wrong spigot

Okay, first a little history. I am rebui;lding my 3.0 sc (1978) I have reground 964 elgin cams, rockers resurfaced at ollies, new custom JE pistons going into original jugs which were still perfectly round/ovality zero (complete aside, but will be runnning bitz racing efi) heads were fine, cleaned up and new seats/seals installed. so last night i start putting it together and got 1-3 on and...

i have clyinder 1 on spigot 3 and 3 on 1. obviously i can mix match the pistons as they are all the same and brand new. the cylinders measured the same. so the question is do i bust my knuckles up again putting the correct cylinders in the matching spigots or do i just leave them (for those that done this themselves, you know there are risks of damaging rings, pistons, etc... by reattempting this.) if i leave it alone, do i fit the corresponding head to the cylinder or case location?

i am assuming since everything is new or reconditioned my dilemma is more of a non-issue.

thoughts?

addtionally, with reconditioned rockers (new bushings) and newly refurbed cams, old location probably doesn't matter, right?

here is a pic of the first on (1 on 3)

With all new pistons, it does not matter. You can put any cylinder in any spigot.

make sure the cylinder is not upside down. I believe the beefier side goes down.

Make sure you put the heads back on the original cylinders otherwise all good.

Non issue as above - though if you can, it would be nice to weight-match the pistons and the rods. Looks like you're not going in that deep, though.

Check the orientation on that sump plate, looks off to me. Could be wrong.
