Oil Tank
My car is a 69 with a 77 2.7.
Two years ago I started my restoration and am finally getting close to finishing. I remember buying filters at Hershey one year and they were not the correct ones when I got home. Now I am about to order some more and am not sure which year I should buy for. Does anyone have a measurement of the thread size or sealing area foe either tank to help me identify what is in my poor old car. Thanks

![]() ![]() The oil filter must match the oil tank console. That changed in 1972, to a larger filter with a pressure relief valve inside. Unless you changed the oil tank to a 77 type when you installed your 77 motor in the car, you need the early 911 filter. The PN is 901.107.203.09 used from 65 thru 71. Our host should have this in stock. Len ![]() |

![]() ![]() The early oil tanks have a separate Aluminum oil filter console........... ![]() with a built-in pressure relief valve and a seperate Oil filler neck & cap that is yellow cad plated. The later tanks do not have this console and their filler neck is painted black. Len ![]() |
