Vintage Optilux Fog lights - Internal Wiring ?
I just picked up a nice set of Optilux lights that I will be using as TTG lights on my '68. Electrical subjects is one area I know zero about, so I am hoping someone can help me with how the wiring is supposed to go inside these things. Inside the lights, there is one wire that is connected to the housing that I assume will connect to the male end on the back of the reflector to serve as a ground (please let me know if my assumption here is wrong).
My questions are... 1) How do I ground these? 2) How do I connect the bulbs (H3s)? Pics below to show what I am working with. Thanks for help provided, Farrell ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yes, you should connect the ground of the bulb to the spade clip on the back of the housing.
However, this will not give you a good ground through your mounting plate/bracket and fender well unless you take off some paint/undercoating. I think you would do better to run individual leads to the bulb through the rubber grommet.
