My First Engine Drop
Although it was spread out over several days due to time constraints things went smoothly. Now it's time to go read through the "while it's out" threads.

[QUOTE=tldry;5939676].... Now it's time to go read through the "while it's out" threads.
/QUOTE] Oh Oh... This could be costly... How do I know? Well mine was to install the SSIs and muffler, do a Valve Adjustment, clean and take care of the multiple leak. Well 3 months later, half the stuff is done but; A Short shift kit, new clutch cable, new sport clutch, new flywheel, new hardware kit, bushing, starter and the list goes on and on, are in line to be installed. Maybe in a month or so, I'll be on the road :D:):D Have fun http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301788051.jpg |
Congratulations....it's amazing how a lot of the "mystique" of a 911 melts away when you pull the engine the first time.
Don't scrimp on the R&R list while it's out. |

If you want a good list... Try here on post #41
Oliver's '89 powertrain refresh thread - Page 3 - Rennlist Discussion Forums I just got the car back together and it is running beautifully. I learned a lot about the car when I pulled it out and went through the list. Oliver is my 4 y.o. boy who has laid claim to the Carrera. As we were getting the car running I kept telling him "Next time, you get to do the engine drop/install". |
