Door Check Strap
Does anyone have a secret method of removing the pin that
holds the door check strap on? I have hamered that pin till I can't hammer no more? It is the original strap!

Did you remove the circlip from the underside before hitting it
from the bottom?

Finally got it after a good soak and a bigger hammer. The old style pin has no circlip. It pounds down from the top. After installing the new one, it now "clicks" because the new pin is
too thin! I just can't win with this thing. I may use the old pin.
