Fan belt tension switch

I have a 1992 911 C2. It has a tension switch on the blower fan belt, with an associated idiot light on the dash. The idoit light is always on, because it seems like the switch is out of adjustment. How can i set the switch to ensure the right tension, and that the light comes on when it is supposed to.

This is not a "tension" switch. It is spring loaded to drop down if the fan belt breaks. I don't recall any adjustability. I have some spare ones if you want a different one.
