Seine Rod Install with A/C?
Hey all,
Gonna be installing a Seine Ultimate Strut on the engine lid of my Carrera 3.2 this weekend and eyeballing it up, I can see a potential issue... On my car there is a bunch of a/c hoses for the condenser that lives just under the grille. These hoses rout along the hinge. On the Seine site and in the instructions they show installation on the hinge with no a/c bits to get in the way. Just wondering if anyone else has installed the Seine strut on their a/c car and how that went, and how you attached and routed the strut. Thanks, d.

I had them front and back for a 1.5 years and got tired of them. Went back to the oem struts. The one in the engine compartment is supposed to be mounted to the lid and had a "cheap" holder that didn't work. Have to close the lid very gently or the rod drops onto the engine laying there with the moving parts, not good. I'd recommend staying original. New struts aren't very expensive and work great when new. I'll see how they go but I think the ones I took off were 20 years old, not bad.
