Removing transmission ground strap?

Does anyone have any secrets for removing the ground strap from a 915 trans? I am chasing a ground problem and I need to remove the ground strap from the transmission and the only way I see getting to it is to remove the transmission mount. There has to be a better way?!
Steve

1/4 inch drive long extension and universal joint worked for me.
Go in above the trans. mount bar.

Hey Steve:

What's wrong with your car? What you are doing seems odd to an electrical engineer.

Remember me? I have your brother's old cab.....
