Bump Stop in new Bilstein HD (wide piston)

I am replacing the relatively new Boge struts in my car with Bilstein HD. The Bilstein's have a wide piston, so I can only assume the bump stop is no longer part of the equation.

Can anyone confirm? Hoping to get this installed today if I can. Thanks.

Your bilstein inserts for boge struts do have a bump stop, you just can't see it.

It is inside the green tube that fits down into the boge strut. The bump stop is down at the bottom.

Thanks Chuck. I'm getting a little confused. There were no bump stops included, and the instructions did not show one.

I did find online instructions that included a diagram and reference a dust cover, but it could probably serve as a bump stop too. Does the green metal cover go over top this dust cover?

The thing that is confusing me is the piston is so wide the whole length (see 2nd image below that is similar to mine) I don't see how a bump stop could fit. #5 is the piston and #4 is the strut housing, you can see they are very close in diameter. Way to thick for a bump stop. I marked the mounting point for the green tube in the image.

PS - I did just install your rubber bushings and rubber strut mounts - outstanding quality

I think what Chuck is saying, is that since the bilstein are upside down shocks (the body of the shock is on top, the axle is in the bottom, even though hidden in the green tube), the bump stop will not be on the top but on the axle that is on the bottom of the shock inside the green tube.

Thanks for the response, but this is a bilstein insert in a boge strut so the piston is on top. Sorry for not clarifying earlier.

I did some further searching inside and outside of Pelican and am seeing indications that it is internal to the strut. I will call Bilstein on Monday to confirm. Thanks.

It is internal to the insert, at the bottom, inside the green tube. You can't see it because it is inside.
