Correct tires for Fuchs 5.5 x 14's
 

Can anyone tell me which is the correct tire size for my car? The wheels are Fuchs 145 x 5.5.

The wheels on the car have 195 70 14's yet the spare has an 185 70 14 tire.

Any help would be appreciated.

Correct? Original tire size are probably no longer available. On 14s you buy what's available and that is dictated by the manufacturer.

Original, I believe, were 185R14. The 195-70s would have been close to the same circumference; 185-70s would be too short.

Vredestein makes a Sprint Classic in a 185R14. I have their 165R15s on my 68...not a track tire certainly, but a nice tire with a "period-correct" look to it, if that matters to you.
