Euro 3.0 to USA 3.0 Engine Swap
I have purchased a ROW 911 630/09 to replace my US model 3.0 liter or at least as a temporary until I can rebuild my engine to a dual plugged 3.2 SS. What I need to know is there anything different between the engines that I will need to update/change to install the ROW engine. My engine hase the wiring harness that goes from the CIS to the firewall and the ROW does not have this. Will it be a problem or do I just ignore it? Thanks, Phil

If the euro engine doesn't have lambda system, you can ignore the front plug and leave the old system in place for future use. The rest should be plug and play if neither one had mods. |

I am temporarily swapping a USA motor in for my Euro and my Euro has all these hoses while the USA does not. Does all of that have to be transferred over? What about that brass looking thing? I don't know why the pics got turned sideways.

Just install the engines. Bay Pawn, it should be a simple install unless youre installing an 80 to 83 US and dont have the OX sensor system, the engine wont run right.
964 there is no difference, the engines will run however the hoses are set up. Fuel, spark and oil lines are all the same while the vacuum is pertinent only to the engine or injection its working with. Bruce |
