As a previous owner of a 93 RX7 TT, I can tell you a stock RX7 can play with the best of them. Very, very fun car. My wife's favorite so far. My only complaint was high speed stability when you let off the gas. Took her up to 150+mph and when I let off the gas........man, I'm just glad to still be here. Mine was stock, so maybe that could be remedied. The car is pure fun and still looks exotic to me-not very common around Atl. Ga. Have fun with it Sean.

You mis-spelled 'apex seals'
I helped a friend of mine put a new engine in an '89 RX-7 - what a PITA! All kinds of little tubes and wires and lines - ug! Quote:

Tinker- The engine was $2600 (plus a $900 core) and I purchased it from Atkins Rotary, and yes, it is a huge PITA to swap. Seems like hundreds of vac lines. eletrical connections, hoses, etc. Having done it once, I do think it would be easier the next time.
Doug, I thought I might keep the car for awhile, but because this project became more expensive than it was supposed to I will have to sell it. Might keep it for a month or so- and be sure all the bugs are worked out before it is sold. :( |
