Fuch Lip Poished or Anodised

I am trying to decide on my 7 and 8x16 Fuchs in the shop for refinish.I want the pedals and centers Satin.I am going back and forth on the lips.I currently have high gloss black pedals with polished lips on a black on black Targa. For me this look had way to much bling.I posted some pictures of some great looking cars with both styles.
I wanted some feedback on both the anodised lip and the polished. If anyone has pictures of both options on a black car I would like to see them.

I personally like the anodized look with satin centers.. More gentlemanly.

That bottom pic is gorgeous... Who's is that and how did they get the picture to pop so well?!

Polished might as well be chrome. Satin all the way.

Looks to me like it was shot in HDR mode.

For the record, I'm in favor of anodized lips on fuchs.

Here is a RSR finish done by Harvey Weidman.
It is the classic frosted anodized with polished and anodized lip.
They makes the car itself stand out.

And a set shown on a car at Monterey '09.

Anodized, hands down, on any color car but especially a black one.

I personally think it's a sin to take a beautiful, unique, interesting and expensive anodized Fuchs and put a chrome or polished finish on it, like all the other wheels on the Pep Boys shelves.

I like 'em either way, but I had my last set of 7 and 9's finished with polished lips.

My wheels still have the original anodized finish on the lip, the outer lip is polished. I like this look because the anodized finish on the lip walls help define the wheel's depth. These require upkeep to keep the outer lip shiny using polish, if I let it go, it will match the rest of the lip so no worries. Well worth the effort.

I know I am in the minority here but I think it really depends on the color of the car. On black I think polished lips look great, on blues and grays I would go with anodized lips. I had anodized before and with black being so shiny they just looked like they did not belong on the car.

anodized looks better I think, nothing else is shiny metal on the car

polished can be a pain to keep nice, depending on where and how you drive it

Petals... not pedals... like flower petals.

FWIW.

Vote: Clear anodized with Satin Black Petals and centers.

1986911,
Your car does look great with the polished lip.I thought I had decided to go with the stock look but your fuchs make me think twice.

I've followed this thread with interest. I had 6+7/16s with anodized lips on my black SC, and have just upgraded to 7+8/16 w/polished lips and petals. Just to add another wrinkle to the decision process.

Cheers,

- Craig_D
