Who's going to the PNWPCA Auto-X practice in Bremerton this Sunday.

The weather is supposed to be kind of crappy so: 1) you get to the 'limit' that much faster 2) with few people, there should be plenty of track time Anyone want to meet for breakfast on the way?

My car is in a thousand pieces, getting ready for the first AX non-practice, which I believe is March 23. Trust me....I'll be there.

But what if there's an instructor in the right hand seat and it's a real open auto-x course? Could I get by with a DE cam then?

Right now I'm planning on attending but if it's really nasty out that morning, I may not make the trip. So I guess I'm a definite maybe....

No worries about directions, I've been many times. You're in Seattle, no? I was thinking of leaving the east side around 6:45 and driving the long way over the Narrows. Perhaps we could meet in Fife for a bite. Are you familiar with the world famous Poodle Dog restaurant, say 7:30? Let me know.

Island... I think you're referring to my previous comment on one of the SCWDP posts. I'll have to clarify so I don't get backlash from Doug Z. The carrera would have no problem going out in the rain. (as long as the pasta rod bolts stay dry) The possible nasty weather may keep me from going to the autox only because I'm the whimp, not the car.

Also, you don't have to be a PCA member to do the autox. It might be an opportunity for you to check out a PCA event...if your SC can run in the rain that is.

I'd hate to miss a chance to see (and especially hear) either of Randy's cars. My '73 Datsun pickup has never been to the AX. Tech inspection might be a problem though. Still, I'm sure it'd get an award of some kind.

Jamie, your idea sounds good. If you would like, we can hook up in Bellevue and follow each other over to the restaraunt, since I'm on the Eastside. How about 6:45 at Tully's at Eastgate (north side of I-90 at 145th exit)?

I'd join you guys for breakfast, but can't ever see myself getting up that early on a Saturday.

I'll be at the practice session, too. Is it better to take the ferry when coming from Bellevue?

My opinion is that it is easier to drive around. Especially from Bellevue, I think it would be the way to go.

Since my car is STILL on jackstands, I may just show up with my helmet and stick my thumb out. Probably instruct for some newbies.

Thanks for the correction, Randy. Yes, I know it is on Sunday, I just spaced it for a second. Hope the weather is at least "dry".
