Cleaning up to identify leaks. What is this.

I spent an hour today scrapeing the heavy crusty oily grime off the bottom of my engine and the oil tank.

Trying to clean it up some so I can identify the leaks.

I came across this plug or screw. It is located just aft of the Oil Cooler. What is it?

Thanks for the quick answer. What is the purpose and should I be doing anything maintenance wise with these?

Unless you have oil pressure problems, just leave things alone. If you create too much pressure in the system this relieves the pressure.
