77 911s fender comparison
Is there any difference in the body mainly the fenders of a (1977 911s) a (1981 911SC) or a 964? Is the body pretty much the same or did they flare the fenders wider from yr to yr?

77 is the last of the "narrow body" 911's in that the front and rear fenders are only slightly flared. Starting in 78 with the SC, the rear flares are decidedly wider though the fronts may be the same (not sure here, experts will chime in soon.) The width stayed the same for quite a few years but I don't know when they widened them further. Others will add that information.
The above does not include specific models like the RSR, Turbo Carreras, etc.

the fronts are all the same from 74 up to the 964 with the exception of the 964 having tabs underneath to hold on the bumber and of course differences in radio antenna locations and fuel filler areas.

what I really want to do is put a set of side skirts from a 964 on a 1977 911, wondering if they will fit ok?

Your flares are too narrow on the 77..Put SC flares and extensions and the rockers from the 964 should work.
