Suspension advise…
Car is a 1976 911S stock suspension
I recently upgraded my rims from 6x15 cookie cutters with 225/60-15 and 205/60-15 to 6x16 and 7x16 polished Fuchs (from and 84 I was told) with Continental ExtremeContact DW - 225/50-16 in the rear and 215/55-16 in the front. I had lowered the car to 24” with the 15’s which was a tight fit in the rear, but worked. Well, I went a little too big in the rear tires and need to solve my now rubbing issue. I figured I have a couple of options but wanted to see what others may have done. 1) Put a smaller tire on the rear (but I love the look with the new rim/tire combo) 2) Raise it back up to 25 or 25 ˝ which gives good clearance a. Change out the torsion bars to a bigger size to stiffen out the suspension (currently original bars) If so, what size? i. the car has new Bilstein sport shocks on the rear b. Roll the finder 3) Upgrade to SC fenders Car is a daily driver, but I did the past Nor-Cal Sunday drive and found out how much fun this car can really be in the hills and sharp turns. I can take a stiffer suspension, if it means keeping my new rim/tire suspension. As always, any input would be most greatly appreciated! Gary |

I had a similar issue. Ended up upgrading T-bars (21 mm f/26 mm r) and having more camber.

Camber, t-bars and rolling all will help. A 951 turbo 16x8 will fit back there as well.
