California option M027, what is it?
Hi,
I just bought a 911 SC with this option code, however my google search was fruitless. Does anyone know what this "version for California" M027 code consist of? Tore |

I looked for the code and it just say's what you have "California model". California has always had different (higher) emission controls standards, it's just an idea, I do not know what 027 really consists of. Just be patient someone here knows.

M027 means the car fulfilled Califoria´s Exhaust emmissions regulations. I think it was section 255. It meant the car came with a Cat and a rubber support for around the gasfillercap
I think the rubber support around the gascap may have been some sort of protection against biofuels but am not certain. The same M027 option was on VW´s |

What sort of effect will one gain from a bypass, not using the catalytic converter? Any thoughts? Then again, probably another thread here somewhere.....
