-Diamond Metallic- 6J X 15

Received my COA for my 1974 Metallic Blue 911 Targa and under the "Optional Equipment" listing, it states "Light Metal Wheels, Pressure Cast -Diamond Metallic- 6J X 15". What does the "-Diamond Metallic-" refer to?

That would be Diamond Silver Metallic paint, code 936 as I recall.

The pressure cast "cookie cutter" wheels were also available in gold and possibly some other finishes.

I may be wrong but I think that means Diamond Blue. If you post a pic of your car we'll know for sure. Diamond Blue is a very unique color BTW.

Is the wheel description in my COA for "cookie cutter" wheels? I'm trying to find out what came original for my car. It has the classic 5-spoke Fuchs on it when I bought the car in 1982. But it also came with 1972 915 transmission and a different 1974 engine than original. I suspected that it used to be a Sportomatic until I received the COA to confirm that it was originally.

The paint code for the car is 334-9 3, which means Metallic Blue painted at the factory with Glasurit paint. The car was repainted a darker blue before I bought the car and later found out it had been in an engine fire. I had it repainted over 20 years ago with a slightly lighter blue which the painter said that this new paint color was the correct color. I have found in the forum a picture of a car painted Diamond Metallic Blue, but this is not the color on my car.
