I'm told that the mast is NLA.  When you find yours, let me know where. My motor is good, but the mast is broken.

In the UK you can get them from many places including Type 911 .

I know this may be a sin, but my power antenna was going bad on my SC. I found several places that sell the entire power antenna, but I was not impressed with the price. I went to Pep Boys and bought one for $34. It is chrome instead of black, and it extends a little farther than stock, but it works just fine and mounting was a breeze. I guess I can't enter that concours now :-(

I did some shopping.
About the best price I found for the whole unit was the one Glascow recommended- The complete Hirschamn unit, motor, mast, fittings, cable everything!! Price is £42 (+/- $61.00) plus shipping. I have no idea what shipping would be... In the States, I got a quote of $72.00 from http://www.ianseuroparts.com/ In my quest for a black mast only, the best I was able to find was $63.00! May as well buy the whole deal. Too bad our good host no longer stocks the part...

Did some more searching. Euro car parts has Hirshman arials in their catalogue. Black ones listed at £24.50 & chrome at £89.50 (strange?). The website doesn't list them but you could E-mail them to confirm and get delivery details

http://catalog.thepartsbin.com lists a black Hirscmann power antenna for an SC for $59.92.
I have bought several things from them, and they did right by me. Free UPS ground shipping on any order over $50 and no tax charges. Of course, you should always try to buy from Pelican first, but a previous poster said Pelican doesn't sell them any more so this one is free game. |
