Does anybody know the part number for the plastic cap this covers this hole?

I don't think there is one, but I could be wrong.
I think they just rely on the corrugated sleeve that goes around the steering shaft and connects to the steering body (that I don't see there).

What year is your car? on my 87 it's a sealing bellows (in PET) 901 347 393 01
you should get one to protect the rubber puck (coupling) - or did you remove it temporarily?

Ah yes, the year would help! Its a 74. I do have the bellows, but there was a broken cap that was on there, that was separate from the bellows. Unfortunately the cap has gone missing (I probably threw it out), so I can't snag the part number off of it.
