Window speed

My windows are not really fast. I'm getting new switches from Porsche today (18 bucks a piece, total rip off, of course) because one has gone bad causing the driver's side window not to work randomly.

But as far as their speed....mine aren't really fast. How fast are they supposed to be (say in comparison with a modern car--mine are much slower than that...), and what should be cleaned or changed...are they belt driven--anyone know?

Oh--and I had to buy a seatbelt/brake/e-brake light (one on dash)...cost 60 bucks for that stupid light set. Jesus..nickel and dime me to death.

Mine are slow... noticably slower in the winter (~40 degrees) than the summer. Sometimes I hit the side rails of the window glass with some silicone (careful). This helps the windows in the winter time.

Sorry if I am not much help... :)

My windows are just as fast as the rest of the car.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;)

Yeah, I guess my power windows are slow, relative to the rest of the car....http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gif

My electric windows are also rather slow. I think it's normal. Heard about it before...
