Tires for 15 Wheels

I was talking to the Tire Rack and they mentioned that 15" tires are going to be harder to find and that also means 14" too. Does anyone know what the real information is on tires. I have 16" on my 911 but like to use 15" for SOLO. Will 16" also be harder to find? What is the deal with big wheels?

A good all around solo and track tire is Hankook Ventus R-S3, excellent tire for the money from my experience the nice thing is you can also drive to the event on them, they come in a 225-45-15 on an SC or Carrera that size will help some on acceleration also, if you need to run a 205-50-15 then you can go with Kuhmo" xs also an excellent tire for the money.

Also we run the 225-45-15 all around on 7-8 fuchs, I've also run Hoosier R6 on 7 cookies all around.

I love my Yokohama S. Drives on the street. I suspect they would be great on the track too.

There are still a few good 15" tires available. But it is getting harder to find them in staggered sizes in the same tire.

The smaller sizes in performance tires are slowing going away.

15" performance tire choices have gotten smaller of the years. I personally don't think they will go away entirely, but our choices will continue to be small. Support the Miata guys, because they are keeping us in business. 195 and 205/50/15's seem to be the tire choice for DE with these guys. I just got off the phone from ordering Bridgestone RE-11's. My second choice was Yokohama Neova AD-08. Second choice only because of my difficult application.
