Help needed from a US Pelican

Hi guys,
I need a kind Pelican to help me out ordering a part from NAPA in the US.
Unfortunately they do not ship outside the USA :-( and they are the only place to get the EP407 ignition rotors as used when people install MSD, theses rotors don't melt as per other rotors do sometimes.

If possible I would need someone to order 2 x EP407 rotors (a spare just incase) and then ship them onto me in the UK via US Postal Service, obviously I will pay all expenses plus a little extra for a drink or two ;-) I can paypal the money before you order if needs be.

The NAPA EP407 link can be found here :
https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Result.aspx

Thanks
Gavin

Gavin,

I could look into it with NAPA Canada for you ...
They're closed today but i could get a price for you tomorrow.I also get a 75% airline discount with FEDEX International ...sooooo shipping for you via air would be at a great discount and you would have your parts in three days at your door !

I don't mind helping out someone from the other side of the planet :)

Let me know !

Cheers !
Phil

Hi Phil,

That would be grate, I think the rotors where under $10 each and I only need two. If you could let me know the costs I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Gavin

Gavin,

I posted a WTB recently for a 24mm fan pulley lug wrench and SLED 9146 (Stu) graciously shipped one out to me for the cost of shipping so i'm just returning the favor.

You were first in line ... lol, free gestures always feel good :)
I'll PM you the info for your rotors tomorrow,in the meantime if you need anything else let me know !

Cheers!
Phil

For all non US members who want to buy something from US merchants that don't ship outside US, you can try Bongo mail forwarding service (www.bongous.com).

I never use them but have read good things about them from members from other car forums.

Phil

It will be my pleasure ;)

As for Das Babe making the trip, well, if you are familiar with "La cigale et la fourmi" fable from Jean De La Fontaine, (The grasshopper and the ant The grasshopper and the ant (Fontaine, set by A. Caplet, M. Delage, B. Godard, M. Manziarly, J. Offenbach, C. Saint-Saëns, C. Trenet, R. Koumans, A. Lecocq, J. Jongen) (The Lied and Art Song Texts Page: Texts and Translations to Lieder, mélodies, can), I was kind of a "cigale" during the winter months :rolleyes::rolleyes:

There is still a month but I'll be spending a full week-end at Calabogie for the GT3 Cup Challenge. At $50 for a Porsche Hospitality Pkg, I just could not pass and maybe I'll recruit a fellow PP to give me a hand or kick me in the a$$ :D

Anyhow, your posting convince me to take Friday off and spend the whole week-end in the garage :)

Cheers

JJ

JJ,

If i don't see you at the GP in Montreal, there's a good chance i'll be signed up for the DE at Calabogie this Summer !
You can drive but you can't hide ...

For a few extra Guinnesses i could drive down to Ottawa and give you that kick in the a$$ you need ... lol
Nah,i'm more the lend a hand,and tools type !

I'm happy to know that i inspired you to spend a LONG weekend in the garage with Das Babe,
i'm sure she's looking forward to having a functional engine again :)

Cheers!
Phil
