Need pics of battery pan
Can someone show me exactly how the pan looks and how the battery is secured? The battery that came with the car was massive and just barely fit in the opening so it didn't move. I replaced it with an Odyssey and the original pan doesn't seem to be OEM. I'm trying to figure out what should be there.

Try a search for "battery tray rust". While you'll see a lot of rusty sheet metal you should be able to find some pics of what your battery tray should look like.

I had a hard time finding info on what the later cars' battery trays were supposed to look like when I was repairing my '75. I guess they added metal but it doesn't seem to show up on the PET diagrams. Sorry I don't have a photo.

I just swapped mine for an optima - required making an adapter plate - instructions found here.
Pardon the dirty box - another project for the future. Hope this helps. It's an 87. ![]()
