Too many hoses

I recently purchased a basket case 74 911S (literally in many boxes). There is one hose connection I can't figure out from the diagrams I have. It is on the cold start valve just below the electrical connection. It is about 1/2 inch ID. Can anyone tell me where this hose should be connected?

Thanks, Jim

It is the air bypass line connection to get air past the throttle plate on cold start.

Connect it anywhere above the throttle plate but after the sensor plate. Normally it goes to the back of the boot.

Here is a plastic flange that the cold start valve mounts on.

Thanks. Can you tell me at what temperature the "cold" start valve should actually start working?

According to the Bentley, any testing for the CSV and the TTS has to be done w/ the engine @ no more than 45C/113F, so it looks like it would work @ any temp less than that. How long it fires is temp dependant and controlled by the Thermo Time Switch.

I have a few extra CSV (0-280-170-412) in my parts bin that I use for my SC's and 190E. The marking is located on the side of the blue plastic plug. Not sure what the 2.7 liter engines use.

PRE-H20,

We just hijacked someone's post! Sorry for the intrusion.
