Stuff I have to do before the BOGIS BASIN HILLCLIMB
Hey, I am getting pretty excited about Bogis Basin and the weekend I am going to start a major repair to my 72 911 S. I have to drop my engine to replace my front cover gasket on my tranny as it leaks real bad. The trusted mech I boght it from dos not belive in sealents. Dammit Ledbetter OK I said it. So while I am at it I am going to repack my CV joints and replace the motor mounts which are original to this car dating back to 1972! The one thing that is getting me nervous is replacing all of the chain ramps! found somthing black and plastic looking in my last oil change. I thought I might be a little easier with the engine out. I am also going to adjust valves and drain and clean fuel screen in tank. You guys might get tired of me pretty soon.

When and where is this Hill climb? Man I would love to take a journey in the old girl that far. Maybe next spring I can make a long trip to Lelands, then hop on over to see the seattle brotherhood, and then on to Canada to see doug and the boys.

Matt, the Annual BBB is held on the last weekend of May. (Memorial day weekend if I remember correctly). It is an absolute BLAST!
It starts Friday night with the usual social functions and BS sessions... then on Saturday, we race, then on Sunday (if you want to stick around) there is a really fun Rally event. Definate MUST ATTEND! If anyoone is interested, shoot me a private message or email and I'll get the contact info to you. It only costs $60 to race...+ dinners and banquets...must also be a PCA member. Only 60 or so cars are allowed so if you want to run ...do it soon!!!

Almost forgot,
The BBB is held in Boise, ID. And is hosted by the silversage region of the PCA. Great bunch of people. It would be awsome to have a strong showing of Pelicanheads. Boise, is a great little city of about 300K. Just right. Not too big, not too small. Next to zero crime...only like 1 murder in '99 or something. Great great place...you can't GET on a "bad" street. I really hope some of you can make it. Jack, Randy, Glen, Doug, Jim, Tyson, and any other west coasters... hell in 2000 we had a guy drive from New York State in his 944 to run one of the last "hill climbs" in a club.

Here's the link to the Silversage website that talks about the BBB.
You guys are NOT getting off... in a couple of months, I'm going to start emailing people... This is a MUST NOT MISS event! Guaranteed fun. Period. http://vista.pca.org//ss/BogusBasin.htm I wish I had some of the pictures from 2000s BBB here... I'd post them.

Leland,
Man i would love to attend the hill climb, but May is the start of fire season here, and I can rarely get more than 1-2 days off in the summer. I'm not even going to be able to go to Cambria. Next year though
