Question Fuel line Torque Specs 83sc

Fuel line Torque Specs for an 83 911sc, I can't find them in the Bentley or Haynes, also did a search on here to no avail... I'm doing orings on them this coming weekend and don't need anything striping or leaking... also these are hard fuel lines so as there is no confusion.

Thank you in advance,
F.G.

Need more info my friend. Which lines? There's no o-rings on the fuel lines. Usually just tighten them reasonably tight, check for leaks & tighten more if necessary.

I just looked a the Technical Specification book and I see no reference for torque. Assuming you are replacing the crush washers on the fuel distributor.

A spark plug is 25nm or 18.5 ft lbs. That is too tight. The cover to the camshaft housing is 6 ft lbs. That is not enough. I would go 10-12 ft lb if you are measuring and then check for leaks, I personally do what sparkle does - by feel. Tighten enough to crush the ring a little.

Thanks for the reply guys, its the orings around the fuel injectors... I have to remove the lines because there the metal hard lines. so the spec I'm looking for is fuel line to fuel injector and fuel line to fuel distibutor. (not the piece that needs the crush washer...) I have a porsceh fctory guy hunting the answer too so If he give me something solid I'll be sure to post it.

Thanks
F.G.
