Take the Drip'in Oil test!

Honestly, just how little or much oil does your pristine 3.0 SC's drip after setting unstarted for: 1-month - 3-months?

A) None ... Not mine. Well not since the $10K overhaul.
B) I'd say just a little, maybe toward the front
at the split halfs. A teaspoon tops.
C) Evidence of some very minor drippings down onto heat exchangers.. but just a little mind you
D) Can't tell cause my motor is dirty man.

Take the test n post your answers

Just for the health of it.

Cheers Antares

Here's a datapoint for a daily driver: none, period. I park it on top of a 5'x3' white-faced board (came with the IKEA desk; great stuff!) and there is nary a drip on it.

It can be done!

My '83 sits in the garage between December and April, and hadn't leaked as of last weekend anyway. The only leaking problems I have had, actually, came not from storing the car but from a bad oil cooler and then from the return tubes. Then again, the PO (I've had the car for about 7 yrs) had gone through the engine pretty good, so maybe I'm due for some problems this spring...

My 80 SC doesn't sit that long, but if it sits for two weeks, it will leave exactly two drops on the floor. One is from a right lower valve cover nut and the other is from a hose that weeps a little. That is with just over 100,000 miles on the original never rebuilt motor. I plan to take care of one of those drips soon, but the other I guess I can live with :-)
