What is this black box
Quick question.
I am completing work on a 911 3.2, 1986 model. I started a restoration project last year, got the car about 95% done, and really completing the last 5% now. Last year I removed the entire interior from the car and re-did everything. In the process I removed a black box from under the dashboard. It is made by bosch and says DM-? on it. Its probably 3 x 5 inches. It has a bunch of wires coming out of it that were mostly disconnected prior to me removing it. I have tried looking up this piece, but I cannot figure out what in the world it is. The car works fine without it, but can someone please tell me what it is and what it does. I'm thinking its a relay for the A/C system, some type of regulator or ? Thanks. |

Got a pic? Do you mean "black box" as in the color black or as in "mystery box"? It's not a relay for the AC system those are located in the smugglers box and on the fuse panel.
Sounds about the size of the cruise control computer.
