Rear quarter window. New rubber now won't fit

Hi
I have reanodised all of my windows. A project that has proven to be a P.I.T.A.!

Rear quarter windows: now that I have installed the window with all the new rubber seals it doesn't appear to want to close shut. It's is so tight I'm worried I am going to brake the glass. Any thoughts? Should I just lube the rubber and force it in to allow it to 'settle'?

Front vent windows: is there a technique for installing the glass into the chrome window frame? Just a small dab of silicone I assume and then use the latch to hold in place?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

R

Rear quarter window early

Maybe the seal is upside down.... Can anyone advise if on the rubber quarter window frame rubber seal does the 'tag' that's a triangle shape at one edge go at the top of the window pointing upwards or at the bottom facing down?
Hope this makes sense.
TIA

The triangle is at the top.
