CDI Help??? Yes again.

I have been doing some prelim testing with my MegaSquirt EFI and have came to the conclusion that the CDI ignition might not provide the "correct" type of signal. It is looking for a signal that would be normally produced from a standard ignition coils negative terminal.

I really HOPE that I am wrong and using the wrong wire as I don't want to go with a MSD unless I really have to. I tried the (-) and (+) wires on the coil, the black/violet wire on the CDI loom all with no luck.... My only other thought is to try the signal wire from the dizzy trigger.

Any suggestions?????

Thanks,

Use the wire coming out of the distributor. The positive wire to the coil is getting very high voltage from the CD box and the negative simply goes to ground.
The only signal wire that is useful for you is the one coming out of the dizzy directly from the points.
