Mid year vin?

Hi, I have a 75 911S and I am not sure if it is an early 75 or late 75. The vin number is 9115201412. I know that it is a US 1975 911S coupe but for parts ordering, is it early or late?

Hopefully someboday knows, thanks in advance.

Rick

Based on the one data point of my own VIN, I would say late 1975. The last four digits of my VIN are 0536 and my car was manufactured in December 1975, so using the roughly 130 or so cars a month between August and December that implies, your 1412 number would indicate a build time around 10-11 months into the 1975 model year or probably June 1975?

Just a massive guess...

75S US coup numbers ran from 0001 to 2310. Presuming steady production that would but your production in July 75.

1975 model year cars were manufactured from ~ Sep 74 thru July 75. Given the 2310 total build number (I didn't know that), wouldn't that indicate that #1412 was about 60% of the way through the run or maybe something like February or March?

Is your door jamb sticker/tag intact? The month should be printed on this tag.
