Best Place to Buy Parts

I have a 1979 911sc and I am looking for the seals and the metal trim to install the front and rear windows. Not sure if I am explaining it correctly but basically I have the car painted and need to put the glass back in but don't have anything other than the glass.

Any suggestions on where I can purchase at the most reasonable price?

No, people probably buy from all over. But seeing as how this bulletin board is paid for by Pelican, and because Pelican does stock most things you'll need, and because Pelican's customer service is probably amongst the best in any business model, it's a bit of poor form to recommend other places before looking to Pelican to satisfy your parts needs. Unless it's one tiny part or unless I absolutely need something that very day, I'll usually look to Pelican first.

That's not exactly what you said in the first post.

You can always try to call Pelican and ask to see how long it would take to fill those items on your wish list. If it's not anytime in the near future, there are two or three other places that are good parts sources. But I think there are filters/censors in place that xxx out the names of competitors if they're typed on this BBS.

You can also place a WTB (want to buy) in the Pelican classifieds and see if anyone has some used parts that will get you going.

I bought my gasket from Pelican, worked great. Not sure on aluminum trim, last I knew it was NLA for the windshield. You'd have to buy it used.

See the trim is available, just not the lesser priced OEM. Porsche dealer stuff, kinda expensive.

Do you have the part number for the items you need?
You can always do a Google search, and lo and behold... you will very likely directed to Pelican Parts...
But this will confirm what most of us already know...

So I have the seals from Pelican but no luck on the trim, anyone have any ideas on where I can purchase the trim and what the part numbers would be?

Have you tried your local dealership? Do they even have them???

What about some good second hand ones from a breaking yard?
