Is C2S or C4S available other than coupe?

I thing the answer to this is no but I'd like confirmation of whether there were ever any factory built 993 C2S or C4S cabriolets or targas?

Auto, are you nuts? Of course they were. The 964 had cabs and targas like the Carrera, while the Targa was discontinued for a couple of years during production of the 993 until the "huge mechanical roof" model, similar to the current one for the 996, was released. Cabs are fairly common, but the 993 targas are sort of rare, but they definitely exist.

Forgive how I asked this. It wasn't worded too clearly. I'm wondering whether the 993 model (95 - 98) in the widebody S style was factory built in cabriolet or targa; not the standard 993.

No, the Carrera S and the Carrera 4S were only coupes. Did you know *all* 993 coupes built in '98 were the widebody "S" model?

Oh! Well that's completely different! Orb's right - the S models were coupes only, though I didn't know about the 98 cars all being widebodies.

Thumbs up

Thank you. I did not know all 98 993 coupes were wide body style. I prefer the wide body style but wanted the open air also. Looks like at the appropriate time it will be decision making time. Since this will most likely be my last Porsche purchase (keeping my 79SC), I wanted to get something actually a little rare. Seems like most advertisements I see today call 993 Porsches rare, when they all are not.
