Which plugs and what range (Is W7DC hotter than W5DC?)
Hi all;
'72 2.4E with webbers. Am using W7DC plugs now but still getting some popping. Have to richen idle mix screws more than I like to get rid of pop at 3000rpm. Which plugs do you recommend? Are W5DC hotter or cooler than W7DC ? Thanks all Russ |

Russ:
I was running the 7s in my 2.7 and got a lot of popping when the motor was cold. The local wrench sold me 5s, and lo and behold no more popping ever. I don't know whether it is coincidence or the plugs. I can't remember which is hotter. May 1 cent.

Russ W7DC plugs are hotter than W5DC plugs.With Bosch spark plugs the higher the number the hotter the plug,unless there is a zero preceding the number.{eg.06 07 08 09 colder than 2 3 4 5 6 7 8}.
