Tool for gas tank drain plug porsche 930 1983

Hi

Can anyone tell me what tool i need for the gas tank drain plug situated under the front end of my car under the gas tank? Its like a LARGE hex fitting looks like it needs a male type fitment .I certainly dont have an allen key that big and the spark plug removal tool looks and fits the right size but i cant get any grip on it .

Many thanks

i'm sure they make an allen large enough, but i wouldnt want to pay for it.

i took a bolt with a head that fit perfectly (17mm?) and double nutted a few NUTS to it. then i just jabbed the bolt head into the plug like a big old homemade allen head and used a box wrench on the "locked"nuts and twisted it off. it was pretty easy, and i still have my "tool" rattling around the top shelf of my tool box.

i believe a 13/16" spark plug socket that has the hex area (like craftsman) upside down fits then you can put on an extension and ratchet

i have one of those but as you say the hex end is where u put the ratchet ?
do you mean put the extension bat through the round open end into the hex end the wrong way round like a sleeve ?

i didnt know that would fit

managed by using the 13/16 with a smaller spark plug remover coupled together then the extension wrong side through.bit of a cobble together but it worked .
