Who's Yellow 74 Carrera Is This?

Found this in a stash of my old photos. 30 years ago - June 1981. Most likely taken at MidOhio or Road America. Ohio license plate on front. Looks like maybe a beige/saddle interior.

I owned US Carrera #079 for a short time, sold on Ebay, now in South France. It was yellow with cinnamon interior. I have previous PCA owner's info. What are you looking for?

It's paint to sample. Looks like Slate Gray. Also originally an Ohio car.

Yep, but that was the only one you could get from Porsche then.

They were all manual and they were all chrome.

Now you can buy the same manual antenna (Hirschman) in satin black, which helps. (But you have to remove the driver's door to swap antennas.)

Has a rubber spoiler but that would be easy to add.

If I'm not mistaken, in those days the antenna worked best for FM reception at 39.5 inches high. This was before cd, satellite radio, etc, etc, etc. It was just called "radio" back then.

Great looking car and they may be the same car but doesn't the car that Curt shows in the period photo have clear glass? Looks like there is tinted glass in the car shown in the garage.

Speaking of the antenna and given the time period of the photo, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't for a CB radio, which was a VERY common feature (along with a radar detector) back in the day...

That pic could be at Mosport actually. I've got a number of pics of other cars in the same infield and there are lots of Ontario plates. Probably no way to ID the car - it's bone stock other than the H1's and the PCA sticker - unless the actual owner happens to see the pic and remembers being at the race.
