Dansk Fuel Tank Connections, missing FP Relay, and other CIS Questions

Hi everyone,

I've got a '75 911S with a '78 3.0 SC engine sitting in my garage and I'm trying to bring it back to life. Since it's not the original motor to the car, I'm having a few challenges getting it up and running.

Background: The car has been sitting for 16 years. The new owner, my close friend, asked me to get it drivable for him.

The fuel tank was a total loss with rust so we replaced it with a new aftermarket Dansk unit. The issue I'm having with the Dansk tank is that it has the fuel connectors (supply and return) on the outboard sides of the tank, while the original tank had both supply and return in the center of the tank. The Dansk tank came with no instructions and while I can assume the larger connection must be the supply and the smaller the return, it'd be nice to hear some reassurance from someone else. Also, the smaller fitting is threaded with an unknown size so any help or suggestions would be appreciated on that score. The original tank did not use threaded connectors so I'm not sure how to be get this thing connected.

Also, since this car has had a previous engine swap I'm trying to figure out how to address what appears to be an oversight from when the engine was swapped. The '75 had no fuel pump relay and since this engine came from a '78, it does not appear to have the fuel cut off switch on the CIS system. So, when you turn the ignition to 'on' the fuel pump starts whirring. Not good. What's the consensus on the best manner to address this?

Lastly, I noticed that then I let the fuel pump run for a minute or so, fuel started puddling up around the injector O-ring on #4. Also, not good... What's the deal with that? I assume an injector stuck open?

Thanks for any input, gents!

I can help with the Dansk fuel tank. The larger, non-threaded fitting is the fuel tank supply. The smaller threaded fitting is M14x1.5 and is the fuel tank return.

That's a big help, thanks! I was having trouble figuring out the threaded fitting size.
