Head bolt tightening on SC

Hi,

Checked out the forum but couldn't find anything, I am going to be doing my valve adjustment soon and would like to check the head studs, has anybody got any advice on what to look for and checking the torque.

There has been some discussion about this before. I think the general idea is this.....

When you remove the valve covers, if there aren't any studs that fall out on their own, and you don't find any that are loose to the touch then you should just leave them alone.

Ultimately. I think It would probably depend on whether the studs have been recently replaced or if they have been in there for 20 years.
