I know I should simply pull my DME and check for this, but I thought I could get some throughts beforehand--and since I'm in front of the computer and not in front of my car.

I have a 1985 Carerra and I'm planning on adding a SW chip.

Should I expect to have to re-solder the DME board to accept the 4k chip or do you think the board is already set to accept a SW chip without any modifications?

Mi 85 just pulled out of the base.

Thanks. I've been concerned that I'd definitely have to solder my DME board for the new chip.

Glad there's at least a chance I won't have to do that.
