CIS going lean at wide open throttle
I'm running a 79 USA 3.0 CIS motor temporarily in my 82 Euro SC and the air/fuel ratio is really lean at wide open throttle. I have the idle set and the AFR set at idle but at WOT it goes lean (17) as seen on the dyno. Should I be using the CIS from my Euro motor on the 79 motor, or at least the warm-up regulator to get the correct fuel mixture, or should I just adjust the warm-up regulator on the 79 motor? Neither the 79 motor nor the 82 motor that was previously in the car were using a lambda system.

79 SC is 8.5 cr and the 82 is 9.8 cr. Pump, filter, accumulator, are all the same for the application. If something isnt right, changing the WUR might make a difference. If you adjust the one you have on the 79 you kind of own the responsibility of it as its a borrowed equipment. Check your pressure.

Switching out the WUR may give you a better pressure across the fuel injection system. You need guages to check how the injection is running.
I got my guages from JC whitneys in Chicago and they are for Bosch |

I found this in a Google search, but I don't see this part anywhere in the parts catalog or here on Pelican. Maybe the car doesn't have one since it doesn't use an O2 sensor.
6. Full Throttle switch faulty or not adjusted correctly: 1980 -1 983 cars. This switch is located on the throttle body. It will at full throttle disconnect the O2 sensor and allow open loop (a richer mixture) and turn off the air condition during full throttle. The switch looks like a little black box. Test the switch for continuity.

Turns out it was dyno operator error as far as the AFR goes. There are some odd readings in the torque curve, and a few muffled pops as the revs go past 5000 but otherwise it feels strong.
