Hey guys, im having a bit of trouble here
I have a 1992 964 turbo porsche, it is manual and was originally left hand drive.
I was wondering if anyone knows were the speedo cable connects to? eg gearbox, diff, etc

Are you sure it has a cable? I thought Porsche did away with the speedo cable in the mid 70's?

you should ask on the 964 forum, this one is for the old school 911 (to 89). you car doesn't have a cable, it should be a sender (2 wires in sheath coming out of it) about size of silver dollar in a recess in the trans.

No cable, it has a sensor on the drivers side trans case right above the axle.

It it fed from the r/f wheel speed sensor. There is a blue relay in the fuse board that takes it from the abs and feeds the speedo

well, technically it depends on what month/year. I forgot that the 965 wasnt available as a 90 model, so unless yours is an early built 91 model, then check this thread:
