Help Identifying Mat
Hi all,
The interior of the '71 has been getting a facelift, and one of the last things to replace is this 10 year-old driver's side mat. I know there are a lot of good choices in mats out there, but I like the look of this one, and it's held up pretty well for being so old. I'd love to get a new one if I could, or at least find one that's in better shape. Wondering if it looked familiar to anyone. I don't think it's original Porsche, is it? I did a few searches but couldn't find anything that matched. If it's a really old aftermarket one it's going to be pretty tough to find, I guess... Thanks! http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w...oto/photo1.jpg |
Not a mat but carpet, mat goes on top. That cut out makes me think it is not OEM though. P/O may have cut the notch to make it sit behind the gas pedal. Others will verify.

Ah, maybe it is carpet, and that's why I never could find it under mats...
It just seemed to have the same size, shape, and function as say a Cocomat which was why I figured a mat. |
A Mat will not have that notch, infact the right upper portion will be missing and fully covered in material as opposed to the rubber/plastic material.

Yep, not even the right carpet. I have some of the correct stuff if your interested, but I don't think the front mats are any better. Just get a new one made by Autos International.
