Must I use non-ethanol in my carbureted SC?
81 SC with Zeniths. It's a total PITA to get to a 76 station from where I live! Are the ethanol nightmares true?

Brian:
Since I have no choice, I have been runnng my CIS car on EtOH for over 7 years now. So far no real issues but I do change my fuel filter annually (about every 3000-5000 miles) and add Marine Sta-bil to every fill for corrosion protection.

Brian, see Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada
? are you thinking that the E10 is carrying a lot of moisture from the fill?

However, as ethanol sits, it absorbs water from the air at a relatively rapid rate. I am using Sta-bil to keep the water mixed with the gasoline and to prevent corrision to the many mild steel wetted parts in my CIS car. Sadly, nothing will protect my elastomers that are incompatible.
